About Me

Southern Women are crazy! That's what I've aways heard. Well you know what they say, sometimes there's a little truth in the stereotypes. For the last decade I've been referred to as the Southern Harley Quinn. A comparison I wear with pride.

I'm from a very small community in a very rural county in NC. I grew up fishing on the ponds around my house and eventually graduated to offshore fishing with my uncles. I won my first ever Lady Angler King Mackerel tournament with my mom and aunt back in August of 2001. I gave up fishing when I graduated from Campbell University School of Pharmacy in 2005 aside from the occasional pond fishing and a few off shore trips.

Fast forward to 2021 when a friend of mine took me bass fishing on our local lake. I caught my first bass and was hooked, pun intended. Since then I've fished mostly my local NC lakes for anything that'll bite. Frequently on the hunt for that ever so addicting large mouth green fish. I also love to fly fish and catfish at the river.

At the beginning of 2023 I joined the gloriously fun yet frustrating boat owners club when I purchased my first boat. A 2023 21 foot Avid FS MAGNUM. She's gorgeous decked out with tan SeaDek, ShadowCaster bow lights, Humminbird graphs and a Garmin Livescope on a Beatdown Outdoors mount. Let's not forget the best part, she's completely matte painted in MossyOak Gamekeepers Bottomland Camo.

Aside from being a crazy southern woman who fishes, I also love hockey (Go Canes), shooting, hunting and baking. If I'm not on the boat or at the river you can often find me at PNC Arena cheering on the Canes, in the kitchen where women belong (kidding!) or being my other alter ego the "Drug Pimp" (the legal kind).

We realize that not all crazy "southern" women are from the actual south and that there are a lot of our northern sisters that are just as crazy and just as country. We welcome everyone! So be sure to stick around a while by following the site and my other socials. Grab a sweet tea, maybe a mater sandwich and join me for some good fishing fun!

Remember to take your meds! Drink some water! Make good safe choices! Know that you matter and that the world is better because you are here!

I love y'all bunches!
